Music is my life for 40 years, I've shared that passion, guiding students of all levels since 2008. As a performing musician, I bring real-world experience and a fun approach to mastering the guitar. Imagine a patient and passionate individual whose life revolves around the music that flows from my fingers. I exude a calm confidence as I sit with my instrument, its strings tuned to perfection. With a gentle smile and eyes that light up when discussing chords and melodies, I effortlessly guide students through the intricate world of music theory and technique. My approach is both structured and flexible, tailored to each student's unique learning style and aspirations. I patiently break down complex concepts into manageable pieces, offering encouragement and constructive feedback along the way. Whether teaching a beginner the basics of finger placement or helping an advanced player master a challenging solo, I am a supportive mentor who celebrates every small victory. My studio is a haven of creativity, adorned with musical credentials and shelves filled with well-loved guitar books. The air is often filled with the sound of strumming and the occasional burst of laughter as I share anecdotes from my own musical journey. A dedicated listener, I understand the struggles and triumphs of my students, offering not just technical guidance but also inspiration and motivation to keep reaching for new heights in musical expression. In essence, a guitar teacher like me is more than an instructor—a mentor, a source of encouragement, and a companion on the lifelong journey of mastering the guitar.
"Prasant "Sean" is an A-mazing teacher! I am not musically "gifted" whatsoever but have always wanted to learn guitar. I was very hesitant as an adult learner to even give this a try. Prasant's patience, and knowledge truly had me at ease immediately and had me believe in myself and begin to play. Life "took over" and I stopped taking lessons but I know for sure percent is THE only teacher I want when I'm able to carve out sometime for myself and return to lessons. It was an overall great experience learning from Prashant and I look forward to lessons again soon! Positive Communication, Quality, Professionalism, Value

During these years, he immersed himself in the rich and diverse music scene of Kansas City, a city steeped in over 100 years of jazz legacy. Alongside the blues, rock, folk, R&B, hip hop, and religious music scene at that time, the city’s vibrant jazz tradition left an indelible mark on his musical identity. For the past 18 years, Luke has been based in Nashville, where his work as a guitarist, bassist, composer, arranger, and producer has made him a sought-after collaborator. His impressive resume includes recording and performing with renowned artists such as Kelly Clarkson, Gwen Stefani, Little Big Town, TobyMac, Lauren Daigle, We the Kingdom, Michael W. Smith, Mandisa, and The Gettys, among many others. Along with being recognized as having played on Grammy winning albums, the latest Muso.ai charts show that recordings Luke was hired to play on have been streamed 1 billion times. In addition to his studio and touring work, Luke has achieved success as a composer for film and television. His original scores include the full-length soundtrack for The Silent Natural, as well as commissioned original music for documentaries, short films, and advertising campaigns. Whether performing at iconic venues like Carnegie Hall, the Sydney Opera House, or Red Rocks Amphitheatre, or spending countless hours in world-class recording studios in Nashville and Los Angeles, Luke has remained deeply connected to his jazz roots. His early years performing with his jazz trio and other ensembles in Kansas City continue to inform his artistry across all musical genres. Luke is thrilled to share his wealth of experience with students at the Nashville Jazz Workshop. With a degree in Entertainment Technology, I've studied music since 3rd grade. Starting in orchestra with the upright bass, I learned how to read music in school. I branched out from classical orchestra to modern rock music. Coming from a musical family, I had access to a lot of instruments. I performed in piano recitals, sang in concert choir and acapella groups, and played bass in jazz band. I have a record label and perform acoustic guitar live.
"Chris is a very student oriented teacher, he is good at evaluating your skill level, helps you improve quickly, and makes every lesson fun and memorable mixing in technical skill knowledge and adding excitement to the experience by letting you explore while still being able to add bits of classical training with a modern take.

"I took bass lessons from DeRock years ago, and I still remember how encouraging and supportive he was. He made learning fun, taught me songs I enjoyed, and helped me build a solid foundation as a player. That foundation served me well throughout the 14 years I spent performing as a gigging musician. What stood out most was his patience and ability to explain things in a way that made sense. I'd recommend him to anyone looking for a teacher who truly cares about helping students grow.
