Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe will learn to put on the wetsuit, lay on the board and practice your pop up on the beach, and then we will go waist deep in the water until you feel confident enough to paddle and try catching your first wave!
Lesson 2-3Quick repeat of first lesson, but you will be more independent at this point. You will get better at identifying good waves, and paddling.
Youth players
Working with kidsWith kids it’s all about excitement and safety. Getting them comfortable by talking with a very approachable tone and positive energy is a must. I want your children to finish the surf lesson feeling like they’ve just accomplished something new that’ll give them the bravery to see any obstacle in life as another step to something greater.
Working with teenagersTeenagers are very independent. They get the equipment and get to tackle this on their own. I will help them and ask them if they want specific assistance.
What you need to bringI will need you to rent your own wetsuit from a local surf shop. Live water in Stinson Beach $18, Bodega Bay Surf Shack in Bodega Bay, Sonlight Surf Shop in Pacifica, or Aqua surf shop in San Francisco.
