I have taught over 100 students from age 4 to ages 65+! Over ten years of active gigging and recording experience in guitar and voice and five years on bass. (Spanish speaker too). Happy to drive to a student’s home within reasonable distance. Holds a bachelor’s degree in Commercial Music from Point Loma Nazarene, specializing in guitar, voice, songwriting, performance, and music business. Versatile in various styles such as jazz, rock, gospel, funk, metal, math rock, and more. Songwriting credits on Chicago rapper Tobi Lou’s "Live on Ice" record. I released a full LP in 2023, showcasing creativity and musical prowess. I am eager to share my love for music, help students unlock their potential, and create beautiful tunes together! My name is Desmond Frempong, and basketball has been my passion for over 30 years, playing through high school and coaching at both youth and high school levels. I've had the privilege of coaching at Ayala High School in Chino Hills and Glendora High School in Glendora. Currently, I am actively involved in youth and high school refereeing, and I also have experience working with youth summer leagues. With over two decades of recreational tennis and ping pong experience, coupled with two years immersed in the world of Pickleball, I've cultivated a deep passion for racket sports. Transitioning into coaching, I've discovered a profound love for Pickleball and pursued full-time certification as a PPR instructor. My goal is simple: to share my enthusiasm for the sport and instill proper techniques, guiding players to their fullest potential on the Pickleball court.

I played on my college intramural team and have taken lessons from professionals that played in college. I regularly play in basketball leagues that even have players over 6’8” tall. I am well versed in young children as I have taught young students English from three years up. (I have my own kids these ages) I am bilingual Mandarin and can explain concepts well in both languages. I am patient, kind, and enjoy seeing others achieve their goals. I look forward to teaching any students be well rounded individuals not just in sports, but in life.
