I am the assistant coach/developmental trainer for UPSL Division 1 club, Yorba Linda FC. I learned to train players at a high level through the Real Madrid Coaching Academy in Spain and am a US Soccer licensed coach. With a lifelong background in racket sports, including tennis, table tennis, and a passion for pickleball, I combine my experience as a competitive 5.0-level pickleball medalist with three Division 1 tennis championships and a Southern California CIF semifinal appearance. I currently teach at Mulholland Hills Country Club and Mika's Tennis Academy and have previously worked as a Special Education instructor, Registered Behavior Therapist, Adaptive Skills Clinician, Mobility Trainer, and Physical Therapist Aide. I hold a Master's degree in Special Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis and a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Biomechanics. My students have earned medals from the 2.5–4.5 levels and qualified for USA Pickleball Nationals. "I’ve asked Jay regarding one review that’s gotten 1 star rating… Not to badmouth anyone here, but it’s very misleading to just hear one side of the story so I’m putting down a review so you guys can decide. What Jay told me happened was that this particular student told through the app that she never needed equipments. So then, of course Jay or any instructor will come empty handed. Then first thing she told him was “I don’t have any clubs” and that’s how their lesson started off. After one hour, she told him how willing she was to take two instead of one lesson a week so she can develop faster. So Jay planned her curriculum accordingly. But at the end, she didn’t explain her text thoroughly regarding getting lessons and he ended up preparing as if he would see her. And then the rest happened. My personal experience with jay is just like the rest of the people here. Absolutely amazing of a coach!

"Coach Arthur was awesome. Very happy of having him as a coach. Very positive and being a baseball player himself adds to his experience and knowledge. He also brought his son with him to help out on a few lessons and having baby otami(son) was great his insight on pitching mechanics really clicked with the betterment of mine and understanding how pitching works helped me a lot in adding velo and being more confident in the mount. (Son) was no extra charge. Having his son helping was awesome. Nothing but positive things to say could ask for more.
