My teaching style is fundamentals-first and deeply encouraging. I break down the mechanics of the game (footwork, shooting form, and passing) using the whole-part method so players truly understand why a move works. I work with a wide range of students from complete beginners who are new to the sport to elite athletes preparing for high school or collegiate careers.

Declan Alenda is a Sacramento-based basketball trainer with 2-3 years of experience developing athletes of all ages and skill levels. Having trained 15+ players through personalized 1-on-1 and small group sessions, Declan brings a detailed, athlete-first approach to every workout. His development as a trainer was elevated through a hands-on mentorship under Jordan Lawley, an NBA trainer. where he assisted in conducting elite-level workouts and independently led sessions with young hoopers

17 years leading intense project management teams, love for sports and coaching. Mental performance is a key skill to be trained in business and sports. I have been in both fields. Played at a collegiate level in football, but also worked at top SF Bay Area companies. Both fields of play need the same mental performance skill. I have coached players I have also coached business staff. I can combine the daily mental processing help with areas to grow.

I competed at San Diego State, where I won a conference championship and have been awarded Mountain West First Team many times. I then went and played pro in Mexico and am still playing. I have trained goalkeepers and field players of all ages for about 4 years. I focus on developing players skill-wise, pushing them to their top potential, but also make sure they are having fun.

Fueling athletic aspirations is my passion. With 18 years of soccer coaching, I specialize in skill refinement and strategic game sense. I provide a supportive environment where athletes thrive.

My grandfather, my father and now I are all coaches. I am a hands-on type of coach. I like team up players with certain strengths and weaknesses together during specific drills because i have learned firsthand that peers motivate peers the best. I have been working in education for at least 15 years, and I am currently a substitute teacher at Westlake Charter High School. In addition, I am currently pursuing a teaching credential and a Master of Arts in Teaching at UMass Global. My goal is to become a high school math teacher. I specialize in math. I acknowledge students' learning styles in relation to what the assignment has asked them to do. I can accommodate diverse needs when solving problems.

I started using Ableton when I was a teenager and learned it entirely through YouTube tutorials. I've been using Ableton for about a decade now. However, the learning curve for Ableton was like a brick wall, so I aim to help my students overcome that learning curve as quickly as possible.
