Professional player ⚽️ and soccer coach, I help young athletes unlock their full potential on and off the field. Currently coaching at LA Galaxy Youth and the Iker Casillas Academy. I specialize in technical skills, shooting, dribbling, 1vs1, goalkeepers and more. I bring a lot of energy into every training and customize each session for each of the players.

For over 30 years, I've shared my love for tennis with students from beginners to intermediate levels with proven techniques with a personalized approach, helping you achieve your goals while enjoying the game. I am committed to developing well-rounded players. Also, having 2degrees in education from a major university, (where I played varsity tennis for two years) has helped me greatly in shortening a players learning curve. AND…I make learning fun! He taught me the fundamentals of the forehand, backhand, volleys, and how to hit a lob, but what really stood out was how much he focused on proper technique and the small details that make a big difference. One tip that really stuck with me was learning to keep my eyes on the contact point when hitting the ball, which immediately helped my consistency. Roger is patient, encouraging, and explains everything in a way that’s easy to understand, no matter your skill level. I left the lesson feeling more confident and excited to keep improving. This lesson might honestly be one of the reasons I hope to come back to San Clemente someday. I’d love to train with Roger again. Highly recommend him to anyone looking to improve their game!

I have been playing tennis for over twenty years. This is includes competing in junior tournaments, playing in high school and junior college. I’ve teaching for almost fifteen years. I teach all ages and levels. Many of my players have gone on to play varsity at the high school level. My teaching style is to start with the fundamentals and add more as the student improves, constantly pushing them to improve.
