I am committed to developing well-rounded players. Also, having 2degrees in education from a major university, (where I played varsity tennis for two years) has helped me greatly in shortening a players learning curve. AND…I make learning fun! He taught me the fundamentals of the forehand, backhand, volleys, and how to hit a lob, but what really stood out was how much he focused on proper technique and the small details that make a big difference. One tip that really stuck with me was learning to keep my eyes on the contact point when hitting the ball, which immediately helped my consistency. Roger is patient, encouraging, and explains everything in a way that’s easy to understand, no matter your skill level. I left the lesson feeling more confident and excited to keep improving. This lesson might honestly be one of the reasons I hope to come back to San Clemente someday. I’d love to train with Roger again. Highly recommend him to anyone looking to improve their game!

With over 25 years of experience in the game, golf has been a lifelong passion that has taken me from junior competitions to D1 collegiate golf and beyond. I played for Oregon State University and did not miss a tournament. Additionally, I have competed at the U.S. Girls Junior Amateurs twice (‘08, ‘09) and the U.S. Women's Amateurs twice (‘12, ‘14). My PR is 64 back in high school. After college, I competed professionally on the Cactus Tour in Arizona, where I secured a tournament win at -11. While in Arizona, I also found joy in teaching, working with kids ages 6 to 12 at the TopGolf Summer Academy, helping them develop strong fundamentals and a love for the game. I also have experience going to Q-School and made it to Stage 2 my first year. I’ve been a member of the PGA since 2004. I was the head teaching pro at El Dorado Park in Long Beach for 13 years before moving over to Recreation Park 18. I created the first ever teaching & coaching completion within the PGA of America called America’s Golf Coach. I also created and run a non profit in Long Beach called Tee Off Together. I am a co-author of a book called Americas Golf Coach available on Amazon. Lessons also include on course instruction.
