I've be committed to my teaching for almost 25 years, helping people of all levels. I’ve taught over 30,000 group & private lessons helping people achieve their goals. I’ve been a member of the PGA since 2004. I was the head teaching pro at El Dorado Park in Long Beach for 13 years before moving over to Recreation Park 18. I created the first ever teaching & coaching completion within the PGA of America called America’s Golf Coach. I also created and run a non profit in Long Beach called Tee Off Together. I am a co-author of a book called Americas Golf Coach available on Amazon. Lessons also include on course instruction.

With over 25 years of experience in the game, golf has been a lifelong passion that has taken me from junior competitions to D1 collegiate golf and beyond. I played for Oregon State University and did not miss a tournament. Additionally, I have competed at the U.S. Girls Junior Amateurs twice (‘08, ‘09) and the U.S. Women's Amateurs twice (‘12, ‘14). My PR is 64 back in high school. After college, I competed professionally on the Cactus Tour in Arizona, where I secured a tournament win at -11. While in Arizona, I also found joy in teaching, working with kids ages 6 to 12 at the TopGolf Summer Academy, helping them develop strong fundamentals and a love for the game. I also have experience going to Q-School and made it to Stage 2 my first year. Whether you're a beginner looking to build confidence and a strong foundation or an experienced player looking to lower your scores, I offer tailored lessons based on your goals. Aloha friends! I’m Mikey and I’m just a dude that has been surfing for 30 years now. I started as a teen to be cool and win over the cute girls. I never got the cute girl but I did quickly became obsessed with surfing. Surfing is my life and I’m a surfer. I love to share the stoke of surfing! It’s the most exhilarating and rewarding sport. As a former tournament player, my experience is enriched by my background as an elite gymnast and former Cirque du Soleil artist. This unique blend allows me to incorporate flexibility, balance, strength, and coordination exercises into my coaching methods, creating a holistic approach to training.

We worked on a warm-up, forehand and backhand fundamentals, and hits from both the baseline and service line. He also brought in insight from his gymnastics and movement background, which was helpful because tennis a more fluid, almost dance-like feel. He understands the mechanics and genuinely cares about teaching.

I coached a lot of younger professional players when I was young, anything to get their attention and they listened. Euro 2024 and a lot of countries players. If you want me to coach your team to win a league it’s not difficult for me. I don’t need to play to coach. I prefer to play and coach.
