Hi, I’m Michael Stine III, a PPR Certified Professional Pickleball Coach and competitive player based in Southern California. I’ve been playing pickleball for three years and competing at a high level in CAPA, iPickle, collegiate tournaments, and internationally. I’ve coached athletes ranging from ages 8 to 60+, including Junior PPA and National Junior Pickleball champions. Many of my students have gone on to win tournaments at the 3.0–5.0 levels in singles, doubles, and mixed divisions. My coaching approach focuses on developing strong fundamentals and technical precision, smart strategy and tactical awareness, and mental toughness to elevate your game quickly. Whether you’re a beginner learning proper technique or an advanced player refining your competitive edge, I’ll tailor each session to your specific goals and skill level. With over 25 years of experience in the game, golf has been a lifelong passion that has taken me from junior competitions to D1 collegiate golf and beyond. I played for Oregon State University and did not miss a tournament. Additionally, I have competed at the U.S. Girls Junior Amateurs twice (‘08, ‘09) and the U.S. Women's Amateurs twice (‘12, ‘14). My PR is 64 back in high school. After college, I competed professionally on the Cactus Tour in Arizona, where I secured a tournament win at -11. While in Arizona, I also found joy in teaching, working with kids ages 6 to 12 at the TopGolf Summer Academy, helping them develop strong fundamentals and a love for the game. I also have experience going to Q-School and made it to Stage 2 my first year. From an experienced school teacher to a 4.5 rated Pickleball instructor, I've transitioned my dedication for teaching into a new athletic arena. With over 3 decades of tennis playing and coaching under my belt, including a two-year stint at Mesa College, I bring a rich and diverse experience to my coaching. My journey into the dynamic world of Pickleball started a short 2 years ago, and in that short span, I've achieved a player rating of 4.0 to 4.5. Currently, I am currently a Pro-Certified instructor with the PPR (Professional Pickleball Registry) to further strengthen my Pickleball coaching credentials. As a graduate of Golf Academy of America, Carlsbad, California (unfortunately no longer in business), I studied the golf swing, psychology of golf, and complex teaching methods as well as golf game management. I also learned how to build and assemble golf clubs, as well as expanding my knowledge on the vast and complex rules of golf. During my 2 years at GAA, beyond my studies, I competed at a collegiate level, making the competitive Golf Team each semester I attended. I came to understand that there are no two identical golf swings. My job is to influence you to find the mechanically correct way to improve your swing and develop your short game, to help you enjoy golf more than you ever have!

Margarita is a certified tennis instructor with over 20 years of coaching experience and a remarkable 30 years as a competitive player. A 5.0-level player, she has trained at renowned institutions such as the Rafael Nadal Academy and the Arantxa Sánchez Academy in Spain. Margarita has coached top-level Southern California juniors, high school teams, and aspiring athletes, specializing in tournament preparation and college scholarship training. With a Master's degree from St. Andrews University in Scotland and expertise in nutrition, exercise physiology, anatomy, and strength training, she offers a holistic approach to player development. Fluent in English, Spanish, French, Italian, and Catalan, Margarita creates an inclusive and engaging coaching environment tailored to players of all ages and levels.
