Hi I’m Rick a Level 1 Professional Pickleball Registry Certified Coach who loves helping players unlock “lightbulb moments” on the court. I work with all ages and skill levels, from true beginners who have never picked up a paddle to developing players looking to add strategy, consistency, and confidence to their game. My coaching style is positive, energetic, and highly supportive. I’m big on fundamentals, proper technique, and injury-prevention, and I’ll make sure you leave every session feeling more skilled, more confident, and more in love with pickleball than when you arrived. I currently teach private pickleball lessons, clinics that focus on developing technical skills and applying them to tactical game situations. I work with both children and adults through one-on-one coaching and group instruction. My teaching style emphasizes confidence, communication, and steady progress. I love adapting lesson plans to ensure each participant is challenged appropriately, whether they are brand-new beginners or competitive players looking to improve performance. 25 year veteran coach, trainer, physical education teacher and motivational speaker with Positive Coaching Alliance. The priority goal to empower adolescents to become the best athletes they can be. With emphasis on self-growth and mastery, I coach and instruct with a dual goal of building the athlete and the individual as a whole; including self-mastery, overcoming self-doubt, fears, negative self talk, obstacles and physical challenges. I currently privately train my young athletes on a one to one basis and in small group. My strengths include player growth and development, especially for those that are newer to the game and learning; those searching for more reps and personally tailored training when club/ team/ center activities don't afford them that opportunity. I am very much into the physical development (strength and conditioning) of my athletes as well. I have a background in personal training and continue to work independently as a trainer and PT. This combination with my career in physical education has helped me fine tune workouts and practices that develop a well-rounded, physically conditioned athlete. As a multi-sport athlete and life-long advocate of all things health and fitness related, I believe in practicing what I preach. The greatest example to my clients is to model the traits and behaviors they can admire. To this day, I brim with energy and positivity and want to continue bringing this to the coaching position.
