Hello I’m Ronell or Coach EL, or Mr Rocklordfitness. I’ve been in the boxing community as a fighter and coach for over 40 years now. I am current USA boxing certified and approved. I am a strength and conditioning coach as well as technical boxing coach. Baseball has been my compass; I coach with technical precision and warm enthusiasm. I have taught baseball for several years, focusing on fundamentals, individualized skill development, and game intelligence to help players reach their potential.

For the past eight years, I've cultivated a passion for boxing and mixed martial arts in students. I'm currently 5-1 in my professional MMA career (my last fight was in the UFC Contender Series). Coming from a small city in India, I wasn't naturally athletic, but through my growing understanding of technique, athletics, and biomechanics, I fight at the highest levels. I blend time-tested techniques and concepts with personalized training, getting people to really love martial arts and boxing the way I do.

With experience coaching in India and playing club tennis at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, I bring both competitive playing experience and patient coaching into every lesson.

I began playing tennis before I could walk. By age 11 I competed year-round in the Texas Junior Circuit. From age 9 to 13 I was coached by the greats John Wilkerson and Edgar Arnold and was on track to begin competing nationally by age 14. I have competed in tennis, football, and baseball at the collegiate, and professional levels for the majority of my life.
