I'm bilingual in English and Spanish and specialize in pronunciation, TOEFL prep, and conversational and academic English. I’m a former Division I quarterback and collegiate football coach with 20+ years of experience developing elite quarterbacks, wide receivers, and offensive systems. I’ve served as an Interim Head Coach and Passing Game Coordinator at Long Island University, and I’ve coached multiple conference MVPs, All-Americans, and record-setting quarterbacks. My quarterbacks have led the NE-10 and the nation in key performance metrics including passing yards, touchdowns, third-down efficiency, red-zone production, and total offense, with several earning Conference MVP, Offensive Player of the Year, and All-Conference honors. Over a five-year span, every starting QB I coached earned All-Conference recognition. Hi, my name is Jonathan Saraga and I'm a New York City-based trumpeter, flugelhornist, composer, arranger and educator. I’ve been performing, recording, and competing around the world for over two decades, frequenting Canada, the Caribbean, Central America, Europe, Asia, the U.S. My trumpet playing appears in over 230 YouTube videos and on more than 30 albums, including many that are Grammy-nominated or Grammy-winning. My playing, compositions and musical research have also received 35 competitive recognitions from 25 national and international organizations, and my work has engaged with audiences in more than 500 cities across nearly 70 countries and close to 100 universities. My ultimate goal as an educator is to guide you toward the realization of your potential. Our learning environment will nurture a personalized process of self-discovery through my guidance, as opposed to a one-size-fits-all system of dictation for how you should or should not develop and/or perceive material. I see each interaction with a student as a sacred opportunity to help facilitate realization, regardless of magnitude, and I have dedicated myself to refining my abilities as a musician and teacher, to that end.
