Recognizing the significance of course management and maintaining a sharp game, I offer comprehensive instruction in these aspects. Whether building a swing for new players or addressing specific issues and fixes, I am dedicated to helping you enhance your skills on and off the course. I run six pickleball sessions a week for my local church to raise money, combining my love for the game with a commitment to community service. My journey with paddle sports began as a kid, but it was in 2015, introduced to pickleball by my dad, that I truly found my passion. I fell in love with the game not only for its excitement but also for the positive social aspects it brings. Pickleball has a unique way of building connections and fostering a supportive community, and I strive to share that experience with others. Whether you're a newcomer or looking to improve your skills, I'm here to help you enjoy the game and be part of the amazing pickleball community.
"Had a great time learning from Matthew! He was super patient and even let me practice with the ball machine. He is super nice and kept the lesson fun. He also runs open play sessions with his church which I went to and was great to practice the things I learned.

Hey fellow tennis enthusiasts! I started my journey with a wooden racquet from a garage sale, facing giggles and doubts at age 8. But I learned that tennis is for everyone - no matter your age, skill, or gear. Years have flown by, and now I'm the proud founder of Astoria Tennis, NYC's largest public tennis community. I believe in creating an inclusive space where we all can learn, play, and revel in the joy of tennis. Let's embrace the game together, and remember, it's never about the racquet, but the heart that wields it!
"Great coach!
