Mal is New York State Certified Music Educator with nearly five years of teaching experience in vocal and general music education. He holds an Associates, Bachelors, and Masters degree in Music Education and currently teaches K-5 music in New York City, where he directs, choir, drum, and violin. His teaching emphasises vocal technique, musical expression, and culturally responsive repertoire. He also works with students in vocal coaching and performance development.

"I coached Jose when he played for Youth Service in the 80s - I was his 16u coach the same year he played for Mel Zitter’s 18u team. In 2008 Jose was my pitching coach at Morris High School where we won the PSAL City Championship. As someone with over 50 years of baseball experience I am humble in recognizing I too continue to be a student of baseball. As a teacher nothing makes me more proud than when one of my former students becomes my teacher. Jose is one of these students who’s ability to communicate in a constructive manner I’ve incorporated into my own coaching style.

Positive Energy Driven Fitness Lessons. The training focus on 3 targets: Sprints, Calisthenics and Core. Ideally, these are 2-3 workouts per week to get you started on the lifestyle you deserve. Soccer have been part of my life since I was a kid. I have spend my teenage years to my mid 20s playing & later coaching my local team. I have my 5v5 & 7v7 USA grassroots certification. I look forward to help some of you reach your goals in this beautiful game we all love.

Born and raised in Queens, New York, Rockaway Beach is my home break. I’ve surfed all over the world—from Hawaii to Indonesia, Puerto Rico to Peru, as well as California and Japan. I’m passionate about teaching and giving people the opportunity to learn this amazing sport while connecting with nature and the waves.
