Soccer have been part of my life since I was a kid. I have spend my teenage years to my mid 20s playing & later coaching my local team. I have my 5v5 & 7v7 USA grassroots certification. I look forward to help some of you reach your goals in this beautiful game we all love.

Pickleball is meant to be a fun game! We'll have some fun, get better at the skills you want to, and I'll be able to provide additional instruction based on what I see in your game. I combine technical precision with patient, encouraging instruction. With 2 years of teaching experience, I deliver tailored lessons in footwork, shot selection and court awareness to help players progress confidently and enjoy the game. Let's have some fun!

I bring a decade of rich experience from both community and church choirs, where I've finely tuned my musical skills through comprehensive training in music theory, vocal exercises, and breathing techniques. As a vocal instructor, my passion lies in expanding vocal range, refining control for riffs, runs, and vibrato, helping aspiring singers reach their full potential. Beyond teaching, I'm also recognized as King K.C., a seasoned Afrofusion artist, bringing a unique perspective to vocal training through my professional experience as a performer. Known for his no-nonsense yet nurturing approach, Coach Pettaway combines deep basketball IQ with a strong focus on character, discipline, and culture. Currently serving as Head Coach of the Lawrence Woodmere Academy Post-Grad Program and Associate Head Coach for the PSA Cardinals 8th and 9th Grade Teams, Coach Pettaway has mentored and trained athletes who’ve gone on to succeed at the Division I, Division II, and JUCO levels. His coaching philosophy centers around hard work, accountability, and team alignment—values that translate beyond basketball into life success. Coach Pettaway is also the founder of Beyond the Bench & Board, a school culture consulting company that partners with schools to support deans, teachers, and school leaders in building systems that promote high expectations and strong relationships. Born in China and I came to the US when I was 15. I joined local swim team in Beijing when I was 7, I won 6 first place in regional competition when I was 12. I started playing basketball at 13, at the same time, I was recommended by middle school coach to run track, 100 meter, 200 meter, 300 hurdle, 4x100 and 4x400. In 2018 I was in the state meet competing. I was not the most physically gifted runner so I had to study the forms, techniques. I love the game of basketball and I experienced basketball from both cultures. I played JV in middle school and Varsity in High school, I played shooting guard position. Being not the most physically gifted, I had to work extra hard on my skills, understanding the game. I truly believe coaching track, swimming, basketball or any sports is bigger/more than just teaching youngsters the skills, it’s about life, lessons we learn from playing sports, spending time and energy to understand each other and one self. With 14 years of basketball instruction, I cultivate skills and passion on the court. I provide tailored coaching and unlock player potential through expert guidance and personalized training. I foster a positive and focused environment.

I've spent 12+ years playing professional basketball across 9 countries — Serbia, Italy, Israel, Argentina, and beyond. That experience is what I bring into every session I coach. As a Nike World Basketball Festival head coach and NYC grassroots leader, I've developed players at every level, from first-timers to college prospects. As a former collegiate athlete and experienced varsity assistant coach and AAU head coach, I bring firsthand knowledge of the dedication, discipline and work ethic required to succeed on and off the court. Over the years, i have worked with players of various ages and skill levels, focusing on fundamentals, basketball IQ, leadership and character development.
