I’ve spent 3+ years coaching players of all ages and skill levels, always focusing on high-energy, engaging, and fast-paced sessions. Hi, my name is iLona. I consider myself half Ukrainian and half American, as I literally lived half of the lives in both countries, not to mention all the travels in between. Back in 2009, at 17 years old I came on one way ticket to USA on full right scholarship. I played division 1 schools, first 2 years at McNeese State, and last 2 years at University of North Texas where we won Sun Belt Conference Championship 2 years back to back.

I've been a professional touring bassist and educator for 20 years. I'm a doubler both electric and upright. I have a B.M. in Music education from VCU in Richmond, VA. (Don't make a joke about your degree being a "BM") If you're still here, I'm also a guitarist and have taught strings and brass. I've taught privately and classroom settings both in-person and remotely. I bring my experiences as a performing artist and educator to guide students of all ages and levels.
