I've been a professional touring bassist and educator for 20 years. I'm a doubler both electric and upright. I have a B.M. in Music education from VCU in Richmond, VA. (Don't make a joke about your degree being a "BM") If you're still here, I'm also a guitarist and have taught strings and brass. I've taught privately and classroom settings both in-person and remotely. I bring my experiences as a performing artist and educator to guide students of all ages and levels. My lessons are individualized and intended to guide you on your musical journey. Lessons can vary depending on your needs, wants and goals. Clay is a distinguished athlete and coach with a remarkable track record, having earned two gold and one silver medal with the US All Army team from 1993 to 1995. A celebrated ASA A West National Batting Champion in 2004, he is also a future Hall of Fame candidate. With an impressive history of 12 U National Championships and 14 U State Championships, Clay served as the Head Coach at Oklahoma Wildcat Prep Academy in Oklahoma City, where he continues to inspire and develop young talent in the sport.

I am a performer with 20 years of experience in the industry. I have roots in improv, clown, theatre, film, and stand up comedy. I teach and perform improv at Stomping Ground Comedy and bring a background in curriculum development and social-emotional learning to my coaching work. This means sessions aren't just about technique, they're about helping you understand why the work lands. Whether you're brand new to acting or looking to sharpen specific skills, I meet you where you are.

I am a graduating highschool senior that will be attending Pratt Community College, a division one juco for my freshman year starting fall of 2026. I am looking to help kickstart my future plans as a coach for the future and am excited to help others grow in their baseball careers.

I started playing at 4 years old, went on to pitch 4 years of college baseball; 2 years at Paris Junior College in Paris, TX, a year at Marshall University in West Virginia, then my senior year at Tarleton State University. After playing, I started coaching at Centennial High School in Burleson, TX. I coached there for 6 years before leaving to explore other career opportunities due to a growing family. I also have quite a bit of softball knowledge, my sister played four years of college softball at Tarleton State University. My wife played Division 1 softball. She is the also the head softball coach at Centennial High School, the school where I coached.
