Professional playing career highlights include a tournament-low round of 65, consecutive second-place finishes at the Arlington City Championship, and competing in state opens across Florida, Alabama, Texas, Kansas, and Iowa, as well as various mini-tours. Drawing on over 43 years of competitive golf experience and a strong desire for helping others learn to golf. I’m a former Division I golfer and professional player with years of experience working with golfers of all ages and skill levels. I currently coach at the high school level and enjoy helping people learn the game, build confidence, and improve at their own pace. My coaching style is relaxed, clear, and practical. I focus on fundamentals, simple adjustments, and helping golfers better understand their own swing and on-course decisions. Whether you’re brand new to golf, getting back into the game, or looking to improve consistency, lessons are tailored to what you need most and kept straightforward and enjoyable. I enjoy working with golfers who want to learn, ask questions, and improve in a positive, low-pressure environment. My goal is to make lessons useful, comfortable, and something you can immediately take with you onto the course.

I’ve been playing golf since 2008 and I’m currently a 3 handicap, I got my start in college, working as a pro shop assistant at a country club where I gave lessons to members. I also caddied for a while, which gave me a great look at the game from the other side - reading courses, managing strategy. My approach is simple: I work with the swing you’ve already got instead of tearing it apart and starting over.

My coaching experience expands over 10 years. I've coached and trained players from the middle school, high school, and collegiate level. My expertise is with point guard/shooting guard skill work including ball handling, proper shooting form, rep shooting, decision making skills, and off ball skill development. Our first session would be more of an evaluation. We'd go through a warm up then transition into ball handling skills and finish with shooting form/drills.

I have a wealth of football experience coaching youth football, high school, Division I college, and in the NFL.

Lukas Sweeney is a saxophonist/music educator originally from Atlanta Georgia. He is passionate about developing well-rounded musicians through a balance of technical precision, musical expression, and creativity. As a performer, Lukas has toured both domestically and internationally. He was a guest artist at the 2024 Mendoza SaxFest in Mendoza, Argentina. He has also performed several recitals at universities/conferences. He currently resides in Fort Worth, Texas.
