As a RPO and My DUPR coach certified instructor, I want you to improve your pickleball game without over complicating it. I specialize in simple, effective coaching that helps you play smarter, more effective and overall win more points while enjoying the wonderful aspects of the game. My name is Roberto. I was born and raised in San José, Costa Rica, and I came to the United States nine years ago to play college tennis. I graduated from Azusa Pacific University (nation's top 10 NCAA Division II school) with a B.A. in Business Management and served as the team's captain on my last semester. I have also coached beginner and intermediate tennis players of all ages in Costa Rica as well as several collegiate dual matches. Regarding my playing history, I have played tournaments in over 10 countries, obtained a junior international ranking, and reached a ranking of #8 in Costa Rica. As of this year, I started coaching pickleball and the experience has been no different! Concepts are very similar and time to raise level is actually shorter!

"First time learning how to play pickleball. I found Toms profile and felt like he would be a good coach for everyone due to his background and reviews. Im glad i found Tom! I suck at learning at the age of 42 and Tom has been patient with me throughout the lesson. 1 hour was pre challenging but kept me focused he gives you good advice and checks your mistakes and compliments what youre doing good. Im planning to sign up for several more lessons with Tom. I highly recommend him. Very good coach.

"Brian demonstrates a novel way of teaching by giving me the opportunity to identify my own mistakes based on the content that I learned from him on the spot. This exercise, along with the drills, helps me better understand the concepts that we learned today. If there is one improvement I have to state, it’s that the drop shot adjustments could be introduced better. Give them awareness that the balls can come at different height/different speeds first and then show them the techniques to handle such cases.

Hello! As the Tournament Director and President of The World Pickleball Association LLC, I bring a wealth of experience to the court.
