Hi, My name is Kate. With over 25 years of experience, I have traveled and competed in professional tournaments all over the world. Throughout my career, I achieved a USTA National Ranking of #6, reached quarterfinal of the KPSF Open, earned an ITF ranking of 170, and a WTA ranking of 490. A full scholarship to the NCAA Division 1 university allowed me to continue my competitive career, where I achieved an ITA singles ranking of #18 in the nation and was honored as an Athlete of the Year.

I’ve been coaching since 2016 at Nike Tennis Camp (Stanford). Worked Cardinal tennis since 2016 where I ran clinic. In 2024, I started coaching private lessons in Menlo Park area. I mainly work with red ball, orange ball, yellow ball (beginner and intermediate level). I have players who are playing in tournaments, so I coach them and take them to tourney’s too.

I have been playing tennis for over 10 years and currently compete in college tennis with a UTR of 8.3. I have been coaching for the past 4 years, working with players of all ages and skill levels. As a coach, I am patient, motivating, attentive, and dedicated to helping players improve. My goal is to help each player develop their technical, tactical, and mental skills while enjoying the game. "Oh, I’d say the lesson was quite helpful, really, we worked through when to use line or cross shots, plus some focus on my forehand and backhand ground strokes. Though I’d like to get more practice on my serve and volleys at the net, the work on adding power to my serve felt quite useful.
