Welcome to Golf Lessons by coach Kollar, where passion meets precision. Mile Square Golf Club in Fountain Valley is my home course, where I’ll often be found, sharpening & working on my game. As a trained golf instructor, I specialize in offering a personalized swing and short game lesson in golf. Whether you're a beginner, eager to learn the basics and fundamentals of the game, or intermediate player aiming to refine your overall golfing ability, the lessons I implement are designed to enhance your overall golf game, while most importantly helping you to enjoy the time you spend practicing. As a graduate of Golf Academy of America, Carlsbad, California (unfortunately no longer in business), I studied the golf swing, psychology of golf, and complex teaching methods as well as golf game management. I also learned how to build and assemble golf clubs, as well as expanding my knowledge on the vast and complex rules of golf. During my 2 years at GAA, beyond my studies, I competed at a collegiate level, making the competitive Golf Team each semester I attended. I came to understand that there are no two identical golf swings. My job is to influence you to find the mechanically correct way to improve your swing and develop your short game, to help you enjoy golf more than you ever have!

My journey in golf began at age five, competing in tournaments by age nine. I proudly represented Davis Senior High School's Varsity golf team for all four years. Although I didn't make the cut for the University of Oregon's D1 golf team, my passion for the sport remained undiminished. During high school, I shared my love for golf by coaching kids at the Golf and Splash summer camp in Davis. Now, I'm committed to regular practice, striving to lower my index back to scratch.

Coach Larry Vargas started his coaching & tennis experience first with "NIKE INC. in the TENNIS DIVISION" This provided the opportunity to work & interact inside a top level tennis environment with professional coaches/ trainers and even TOP RATED USTA TENNIS PLAYERS. He then went on to receive his C.I.F. Coaching Certificate and became the Head Tennis Coach for Notre Dame High School/ Riverside. He also became part of the "JR. TENNIS.PROGRAM" for the city of Riverside offering group tennis lessons for kids of all ages. Coach Vargas specializes in coaching / training young adults & kids of all ages. I’m a 3-handicap golfer with experience playing high school golf, working junior golf camps, and helping golfers break into the 80s. While I’m new to organized coaching, I enjoy helping everyday golfers improve and have more fun on the course. I offer both range lessons and on-course coaching, focusing on course management, smart decisions, the mental game, and practical swing improvements to help you lower your scores and play with confidence.
